    Hi,

I set up SMTP for administration and am confident about the code and server configuration. However, when I send a test email, I encounter the following errors:
    • Error 500: Email sending error
    • Sometimes, Error 0

How can I resolve this issue?

Anyway, have you tried without SSL/TLS? (no encryption).

    Does it work?

Can you try to a well-known domain, like hotmail, live, gmail, etc?

Can you received email? And only STMP (outgoing/sending) having issue?

I did a quick check there is a few free server you can use to test your config:

    https://www.gmass.co/smtp-test
me too, and I test free STMP, it shows sent success, but the email can't recieve the test email.

    Following this.

I have same problem, I keep getting "Error 500: Unknown error." when doing "Send Test Email".

I am seeing this in error:

    hello
1 i try with with gmail + pro accompt + gandi account
2 without auth that doesn't works
3 i install same CRM in my wamp => email are sended without any change
4 i ask to gandi support they reply this
"the CRM does not want to send the emails because your web hosting does not have a DNS/hostname record
this is why you need to contact the CRM devs to find out how to overcome this limitation
    it's not an SMTP problem
it's the configuration of the CRM that does not take into account the way our web hosting infrastructure is made"
