It seems even utilizing wide view, we are really constrained by the appearance css of this required 'box view' to handle all lists. Most CRMs can fit many columns cleanly, easily, and just reduce text size or column size to accommodate what you need to show. How can we easily do this within EspoCRM? Anyone have any solution they've done appearance wise to expand the default list view? Thanks!
Anyone figure out how to expand list view?

We can barely show 1/10 of the information that other CRMs easily show. We have to figure out what's going on with EspoCRM, either a text size reduction or expanded list size. Either one will work. It's not useful to have 5 columns maximum. Think about how many columns you typically see users use in Excel. We would have to have a CRM that does that, easily. It's already way too wide on your screenshot. "Most CRM" do it 'wrong' (old-fashioned) way.
You can customize it with CSS:
Code:body[data-content-width="Wide"] { --container-max-width: 2000px; }Last edited by mudokai; 01-29-2026, 11:10 PM.Comment

I provided the solution above. It's very easy to apply. It will work the way how many other older systems works, stretching the view to fill the whole screen.Comment

Maybe in the future Espo could have a side scrollbar, like salesforce.
It’s not the best solution but it works. -
The horizontal scroll is really far from being a good UX choice. We would need to stick at least some columns and the latest column with the menu option.
I don't see a web based CRM as comparable to a spreadsheet app. One should have many columns by design, as the spreadsheet does not have anything except columns.👍 2

Be sure you are testing both % and px in your layout,
FWIW I find % is easier and certain fields can always be 7-10% e.g. Dates, Status, etc. Counts can be 5% which allows you to add more for Name, address, etc.
