Question About Auto-Follow Behavior

Hi everyone,

I’m unsure whether this is a misconfiguration or a bug related to followers. Here’s the situation:

1. Settings:
   • https://demo.eu.espocrm.com/#Admin/settings → "General" tab → "Follow created records" = false
   • https://demo.eu.espocrm.com/#Preferences → "General" tab → "Auto-follow record after posting in Stream" = false and "Auto-follow created records" = false
2. Observed Behavior:
   • When I create an Opportunity/Task/Lead without an Assigned User, I do not automatically become a follower.
   • When I create an Opportunity/Task/Lead with myself as the Assigned User, I do automatically become a follower.
   • However, this does not happen with Quotes/Invoices/Sales Orders, where everything works as expected.

Is there an additional setting to completely disable auto-following new records?
