we found that windows didn't like running unix docker images, so this would be more of a windows issue than a espo issue.

if you find a way todo it i'd love to know

Yes, it's definitely possible to run Espo in Docked Desktop on Windows 11. The guide in the documentation should work just fine: https://docs.espocrm.com/administrat...docker-compose

I use Windows 11 in my business. I tried installing Docker for Windows and immediately tried installing espocrm without learning docker. I can't get espocrm to start even though it shows up as running when I check through Docker Desktop. Is it possible to run EspoCRM in Docker on Windows? It needs to run consistently. Should I invest in a dedicated Linux machine instead? I was hoping to take the work laptop (needs Windows 11 for job needs) on sales calls and use CRM when needed but I can take 2 laptops if I can be up and running within 2 weeks.

Please feel free to create a separate topic in the Installation an Upgrade help section.

Both Apache and Nginx are fine. The former may be bit easier to set up with "AllowOverride All" enabled.

I’m having trouble installing the software. I’ve tried playing with it a bit but when I attempted to install it using nginx, I kept getting a 500 error and some fonts weren’t displaying. I’ll give it another go tomorrow before I give up. I’m not sure if I need to install it on Apache or Nginx.

So far I only install on normal hosting, never any problems from the install process. During the last years I installed at least 100 times.
In the beginning I also installed locally (XAMPP, UNIServer and alike), as well no problems caused by the install process.

I almost never have issues installing, but I have had several issues while updating. I think that some better documentation around upgrading and troubleshooting upgrade issues could help.

I have noticed an increased number of feedback reports from potential users struggling to install Espo for the first time. As such reports are often anonymous, it's not possible to know what exact issues the user struggled with. Usually such reports lack of details.

Would be good to know the problem points to cover them in the guidelines better. Please share what issues you ran into while installing Espo.

P.S. Maybe such an increased number of installation issues could be attributed to use of LLMs – now people rely on AI rather than docs.
