Lock field view

Hello,
I would like to achieve that only one user (boss) sees a special field, the other users do not.
With the logic on field level (entity manager) I have not found a solution.
Does anyone have an idea?

there are different ways to achieve this. one of them is to place all these fields in a panel and make panel visible only to Boss user. otherwise you can use field scope level to control visibility of fields per each role.

I had already tried that with the rollers. I had locked the special field in the role for all users. With a second role, the boss should have access to this field. Only after I explicitly released the field in the role of the boss did it work.
