    Selection of Email Recipients when Creating Email in ACTIVITIES panel

    Hello community,

    I have several custom entities (Base Plus) created that I cannot manage to behave as needed when sending emails in the Activitites Side Panel. While most of the standard entities like e.g. Opportunitites use the CONTACT's email adress as the recipient, my custom entities always use the ACCOUNT's mail address and just ignore the linked contact.

    Where can I configure the intended behaviour of my custom entities to use the same logic as the standard entities that have both Account and Contact as links?

    Regards
    Michael

    Account and Contact have the Company and Person types, respectively. It makes more sense to create entities with precisely these types, rather than Base Plus.

      Hm, these seem rather new? Can not remember seeing them, but they are also missing tool tip hints.

        And further to this: the custom entities themselves are NOT representing accounts or contacts but just LINK to them. I have investigated into this by comparing my entities to the OPPORTUNITY standard entity and found the following:
        • I obviously have to create a controller and a service class for my entity. I am just working on this but I am strugging with this. It seems that the documentation about services Services - EspoCRM Documentation covers the older version up to 9.x
        • It seems that with version 10 I need to work with the InjectableFactory but when trying to "fork" the files and code parts of Opportunity I receive the following in the logs
        Code:
        [2026-10-03 15:25:09] CRITICAL: (0) InjectableFactory: Class "Espo\Custom\Tools\CHalionSubcription\Service" does not exist :: GET /CHalionSubscription/6abb91d5c4c7ed06d
        [object] (RuntimeException(code: 0): InjectableFactory: Class "Espo\Custom\Tools\CMyEntity\Service" does not exist at /var/www/html/application/Espo/Core/InjectableFactory.php:244)

        I am currently stuck with this. I am no programmer with in depth PHP knowledge so it might be that I am missing some trivial bits and bytes. Will keep working on this

          I have put all back into a state where I can open and use my custom entity again but that's all. I have even put a "throw new NotFound();" directly after entering the method but nothing happens. It seems that the controller and service are not called.
