preset search via url?

is there a way to set search variables from the url?

this would be me most useful to share between users, so for example i want to see all products over 3kg, or any quote sent to a particular company. i know we can do this via reports but those need to be setup before hand and are static and i couldn't generate one on the fly

We have an extension that covers this use case: Ebla Shared Filter.

It allows users to create custom filters, share them with other EspoCRM users, and let other users use them directly without needing to create reports beforehand.

It also supports sharing filter links and can be used to provide filtered data to external systems via API, which can be useful for AI, BI, reporting, or automation integrations.

So for examples like showing products over 3kg, or quotes related to a specific company, you can create and share a filter instead of setting up a static report.

o that is a very nice plugin, and i may have a use for it. but this one i want to create control the search via a url

one use case is i am making an external interface to deal with some of our bad data and i want to link them directly to search that displays the problem records so they can be changed.

doesn't quite sound like i can do this with your plugin?
