    Espo sending emails but no logs

    Hi

    We had a automation setup a while back, but have since disabled it - it seems to somehow still be triggering for old data.

    Some customers are commenting that every month at 9.30am they're receiving emails.

    Our email provider has confirmed that the message ID is definitely coming from Espo - but looking at the user's account, there's no email showing in the logs!

    Has anyone else come across this?

    could be an old workflow or a bpmn - otherwise check if this was coded in a custom or third party extension.

      We searched and cannot find any which are even inactive. The annoying thing is that the emails are sent but not logged, so we don't know who it impacts until the customer contacts us!

      I think a database search is going to be needed, or deactivate emails somehow.

        The screenshot is from our email system which logs where the email is sent from. This isn't an unofficial extension.

        if an email is sent to the customer from espocrm - can you check the history panel (sent emails) then you can get the emails id and you can try and trace it to see from where it was sent. This seems to be a scheduled workflow or a schedule bpmn - also it could be a formula.

        No, we cannot do that - there's no log at all made of the email being sent within Espo. We've checked the contact's details and there's no sent mail for this.

        Only our email server is showing that the emails (there's around 8 contacts affected) have the relevant Espo details in the message id, so we know it's coming from there!

      By logs, do you mean EspoCRM logs or the display of emails in the UI (for example, in History or Bottom panel)?

      In any case, it is worth checking:
      - all Formulas (especially those registered in Personal or Company entity types);
      - all List Reports that are sent with a certain frequency;
      - all Workflows and BPMNs (temporarily disable);
      - all customizations, including unofficial extensions.

      It will be easier to suggest what exactly to check when you show what these emails look like (for example in Gmail, Outlook or different email service).
