Hi, I have changed the "len" in the Contact.json file that I found in Espo/Custom/Resources/metadat/entityDefs
and the number of characters I can use hasn't changed. Am I doing it wrong?

Yes, I did a rebuild. And again today, just in case. It didn't help.

Can i create a link in the contact fields with a URL that passes data from the contact field to a url that can generate me the qr code that i want? That would be suffficient. I did that with a workaround on the PDF Template by creating a URL like below and that gives me a nice and sufficient qr code.
