  • Assistance with VoIP Settings setup in User Section

    Dear Espo team, yuri lazovic

I hope this message finds you well. I recently purchased a VoIP extension from your company and successfully installed it. However, I have encountered an issue while attempting to set up an internal user account. It seems that I am unable to find the VoIP setting option in the user section. Could you please guide me on how to access the VoIP settings in the user section?

    Thank you for your assistance.

    Hi sapyantuk,

Please tell us which versions of EspoCRM and VoIP Integration extension do you use? Were there any errors when installing the extension?

lazovic There is no available option for VoIP settings in the users entity. Therefore, I had to configure it by incorporating additional fields through the layout manager.

However, after completing the setup, I encountered another problem. In the VoIP setup, there is a feature called "List of Ignored Numbers." I populated this field with certain numbers, expecting them to be ignored. Nevertheless, I am still receiving pop-up notifications for these specific numbers.
and in admin account . we are getting multiple popup for single phone calls.

            sapyantuk,

Regarding the VoIP Settings button: I checked its presence in the User entity on your versions of EspoCRM and VoIP Integration extension. The button is present and works as expected. Try reinstalling the extension or making a rebuild. It is possible that third-party extensions can affect the absence of a button, it is better to disable them.

Regarding the List of Ignored Numbers: check if the phone numbers match exactly the ones you don't want to receive calls from. See exactly how a phone number is automatically recorded when a call from it enters the system, and insert it into the list of phone numbers to ignore.

I have attempted to uninstall all third-party extensions and reinstall the VoIP extension as well. However, I have encountered an issue where the option does not appear in the user entity.

Additionally, regarding the ignored number feature, I have entered the number in the same format, but the pop-up notification is still not being ignored.

                sapyantuk,

This is very, very strange. See if there is anything in the EspoCRM error log. And also, if possible, try to install a clean EspoCRM v7.3.4 nearby on your server and put the purchased extension on it. You need to check if the button appears, because if it does, then something is wrong with the files of your main instance.

I have recently installed a fresh instance of Espo CRM and successfully installed the VoIP extension. However, after the installation, I encountered an issue where the setup menu for VoIP appear in the fresh installation.

I am unsure about the exact cause of this problem with my Espo CRM. Could you please guide me on how to identify the root cause of the issue and resolve it?

In an attempt to resolve the problem, I decided to update the CRM to the latest version. Unfortunately, during the update process, I encountered the following error message:

"Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ')', expecting '|' or variable (T_VARIABLE) in /home/abc.com.np/public_html/vendor/laminas/laminas-mail/src/Protocol/Smtp.php on line 329."

I would greatly appreciate your assistance in understanding the underlying reason for this error and providing guidance on how to fix it.

This error appears when the version of PHP is not suitable. The latest version of EspoCRM requires at least PHP v8.0, so you will need to upgrade it.

lazovic When attempting to upgrade my Espo installation through the command-line interface (CLI), I encountered an error message that reads as follows:

As I wrote earlier, in order to use the latest version of EspoCRM, you need to upgrade PHP version to 8.0.

I have successfully resolved the issue with PHP as per your instructions. I uninstalled all the extensions and reinstalled them, but unfortunately, the VoIP settings still do not appear. I kindly request your assistance in fixing this matter. Additionally, I would like to mention that the ignored number feature is also not functioning as expected, as I mentioned earlier. I appreciate any guidance or support you can provide to address these concerns.

This issue needs to be analyzed more deeply, since no one has come across this before. It might be worth scheduling a remote session.

                    sapyantuk,

Try using numbers in the List of ignored numbers field in the following format:

                    not +977 1 1234 5678

but /977112345678/ (no spaces, brackets, hyphens, pluses, only numbers with slashes at the beginning and at the end)

After adding new numbers, it is recommended to make a rebuild.
