  • Killing a Looping Workflow

This may be documented somewhere, but I can't seem to find it.

I wrote a workflow - and it has an infinite loop in it.

I can fix the logic, but how do I get the workflow instance to stop running? I've turned it off, edited, then removed the target record, but it's still running.

Is there a 'kill' switch somewhere?

You have to go to Administration -> Processes -> Choose problematic Process -> Next to edit click on three dots. There you should have option kill or stop process.

      1. Try inactivate the workflow rule.
      2. Try removing a corresponding job (or jobs) that runs the workflow rule (if any exists).
