    Installation error

    Greetings
    I am trying to install EspoCRM 6.1.7 on windows server 2012 R2, but when I installed it, the following appeared:

    API Error: EspoCRM API is unavailable.
    Advance step by step. After each step, check to see if it solved your problem.
    1. Find the httpd.conf file (you will usually find it in a folder called conf, config or something similar to those lines)
    2. Inside the httpd.conf file we uncomment the LoadModule rewrite_module modules / mod_rewrite.so line (remove the '#' at the beginning of the line)
    3. Also find that the ClearModuleList line is uncommented then look and make sure the AddModule mod_rewrite.c line is not commented either.

    I have already entered httpd.conf, the LoadModule line rewrite_module modules / mod_rewrite.so if it appears uncommented, but ClearModuleList and the AddModule mod_rewrite.c line do not even appear to me

    Could you help me solve this?

      What web-server do you use (apache, nginx, IIS)?

            Hi iincitr,
            Are you talking about the admin user you are creating upon EspoCRM installation process? Or it is an additional admin user you try to create after EspoCRM istallation process?
            Please check an EspoCRM log file to find out the 403 error cause https://docs.espocrm.com/administrat...ng/#check-logs.
            BTW, I suggest you to continue this conversation in the correspondent topic here https://forum.espocrm.com/forum/inst...ging-settiings.

                Hi rudyh4h4,
                You mentioned that you are using XAMPP which means you have Apache instead of a Windows server. Please check these manuals:
                1. https://docs.espocrm.com/administrat...configuration/
                2. https://docs.espocrm.com/administrat...configuration/

                Please provide a screenshot with the error you have. Also, check an EspoCRM log file https://docs.espocrm.com/administrat...ng/#check-logs.

                  After a long time of searching about apache and its directives, I could not solve the error, I tried many times to install and uninstall, but I did not get results, it is worth mentioning that the xampp version with which I was installing it was 8.07, also try 7.4. 20 and it didn't work, I was about to give up until I used xampp version 7.3, trying this I was able to finish installing the application.

                    One of the solution for you can be to use the Bitnami, https://bitnami.com/stack/espocrm/installer.

                      I have hit the same problem as clara and I did not see an answer to the fact that in the conf file ClearModuleList and the AddModule mod_rewrite.c line do not even appear to me. I am using the bitnami wampstack 8.0.8 on Windows 10. I also tried the next suggested step which was to enable .htaccess support but it is not clear to me exactly how to define the directory. I have used:
                      <Directory "C:/Bitnami/wampstack-8.0.8-0/apache2/htdocs/espo/">
                      AllowOverride all
                      </Directory>

                      Thank you

                        First of all, please check if this Bitnami stack is working. If so, please create a screenshot with your issue.
