  • Outboind email SMTP issue

    Hi there,

    New to EspoCRM - just installed on our server . 8.1.5 - I have an issue trying to connect outbound to our 3rd party SMTP provider.

    This is the error log

    [2024-03-18 14:49:48] ERROR: Email sending error: 5.7.1 <info@mydomain.com>: Sender address rejected: not logged in
    [2024-03-18 14:49:48] WARNING: Email sending:unknownError; 0

    Now I am using the same details in group email IMAP & SMTP and it connects and works just fine (in Group emails SMTP I use "PLAIN" ) There does not seem to be an option for outbound to set authorisation method ( not sure if this is the issue ) I have tried adding this to config file 'smtpAuthMethod' => 'PLAIN',​

    Nothing has worked.

    I have checked and checked and checked all settings everything is bang on.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,

    You can use Group Email Account as the default outbound account. Just specify its email address in the Outbound Emails settings. SMTP parameters is settings is a legacy that likely will be removed in the future.

      From Address should be set. Server should be empty.

        Hi Yuri, thank you for your replies and screen captures - This is what I am currently using, I have a group email account working as expected - I just wanted to make sure everything is setup correctly.
