Campaign follow up emails

I am guessing that when using campaigns that it is not possible some how to send out followup emails based on the number of days the welcome email is sent. I can see that a second email can be set up on a different date but I am after sending it based on when the first email is sent. I assume this can be done with the Workflow Extensions.

If it is possible I would appreciate knowing how to acheive this.

you can use workflow or even BPMN and build a flowchart which sends the first email and then wait x days based on when first email is sent, you can use formula to calculate such period.
