Hi, question, if we have thousands of records, and a workflow should process records that match the filter, and also only 5 random of them, what would be the best approach to get it?

probably formula with a loop could do the job. probably if you share more info about your workflow it would be clear how to approach this.
You may also consider the BPMN using multi-instance sub process.
