Personally from reading this I link LineNumber is where it is in the file, whereas RowIndex is what number is the data. In most case it should only be +-1 differences?

    For example:

    1. Name PhoneNumber
    2. John 12345
    3. Jane 111222

The example above got "Fieldname", so RowIndex would be 1 for John and 2 for Jane? And LineNumber is 2 for John and 3 for Jane.

    Example 2:
    1. John 12345
    2. Jane 111222

Row and Linenumber: 1 John, 2 Jane. Because this time we don't have Fieldname in first lines.

There is still a question: on the panel showing an Import Error, there's a field "Row". In my case, the value is "kein(e)", that is "none".

it means that field should accept a value but on excel it can't find value. you need to check your excel file line number 2 and check this field value.

          Quite cryptic, isn't it?
