Copy number to Sales order, invoice and quote name

Is it possible to copy the sales order number to the sales order name field uppon saving?

I've tried creating a formula like this: name = number; but it doesn't work.

it should work when you make the name field (not required). go to sales order entity \ fields \ name (uncheck required option) it will work then.
