Update error

Hello
I was updating my CRM, I downloaded version 5.3.6 since the version I currently have is 5.2.5, and when I went to administration> update and choose the file, the following appeared:
Permission denied: unable to create a folder on the server - data/upload/upgrades
I have looked in the data / upload directory but I don't have the upgrades folder

What can I do about it?

Hello,
just a advice, find a developper... give some "euro" for upgrade...
if you can't resolve this issue (permission).. you are on 5.2.x ... now we are on 6.1.x ..
really don't go more, else you will loose many time and more money.

really this not end with permission.
php version
database version
database encoding

with only permission resolve, you just have a "error 500" or "blank page" in 2 upgrade

You are right. But in case with upgrading from 5.2.5 to 5.3.6 this step might be enought.
