  • Tracing field changes to specific user

    Hello

Is it possible as an Admin to see which user has updated a particular field within an Account?

For example, one of my Account's status has been moved to Cancelled, but it was last modified by the system based on a workflow. I want to know which user moved the status (which is my own custom field). Is this possible?

    Thank you in advance!

    Hi,
you can make the status field 'Audited' and add Admin user to the followers of the Account record, so when someone will change the status field, the report of this change will be shown in the Admin's Stream. You can check the 'Audited' field parameter in the target fields settings in the Entity Manager.
Also, you can make the Admin user will be automatically following all Account records upon their creation (see Preferences -> Global Auto-Follow). It will allow you to avoid manual adding Admin to each record.

Hi, if you planning to use the Audit log, please be mindful that it get auto-delete or clean up. You may want to change the clean up period. Please see this thread:

Maximus Does the Database size needs to increased to have Audit Logs in many fields in most of the Entities - Opportunity, Quote, Sales Order and their Item Lists?
