Manually attach email to account

Is there a way to manually tell espocrm that and email in the personal email folder belongs to a specific account or contact even when the email address does not match?

Yes.
You can call up the e-mail in the mail client integrated in Espocrm and then send it by hand to a account, a contact, ... Assign.
