You can add your own fields to the entity emals. Do not use these, however. The layout manager cannot edit emails.
You can insert these fields into an e-mail template.
I have created a date field with the default "today". It does not work in the template.
It is certainly not often the case that another field should be added to the standard fields of an email. But it's an advantage if you can.
In our old CRM we added a field "Notes". It wasn't on the air. There was information the recipient should not receive.
