    Email error

    EspoCRM 9.3.7 Community

    When composing an email from any entity (Opportunity, Custom Entity, Contact, etc.), the "From" field remains empty and the message cannot be sent.

    Error:

    Field validation failure; entityType: Email, field: from, type: required.

    In the composer I see:

    SMTP is not configured: Email Accounts

    What I already verified:
    • SMTP connection test succeeds.
    • Email Account is active.
    • SMTP is enabled on the Email Account.
    • Outbound Email is configured.
    • Created additional Email Accounts and tested them.
    • Rebuilt cache.
    • Same behavior for all users.

    The email composer opens correctly, recipient and origin are populated, but the From field is always empty.

    Is there any setting that links Email Accounts to the email composer "From" identity in v9.3.7?

    Please check if the profile of the User creating the email contains an email address with an existing Personal or Group Email Account. The "Is Shared" option must be enabled for the Group Email Account.
