    Inline Editing Not Working

Hi, hope someone can help me please.

I would like to edit fields directly in the Contacts list and nothing I do is working. Inline Editing is on by default and not disabled.

The specific field in question is a Multi-Enum field as seen in the image. Clicking it leads to nothing I would like it editable directly like a spreadsheet cell OR a small pencil on the side so I can select the tags directly via a list (that’s how they work everywhere else).

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Greetings, qwerty079,

The described functionality is fully understandable; however, for now, by default, you cannot edit a record's values directly from the list view.

As an option, you can press the edit button in a drop-down menu for a specific record and edit it from list view:

Name:	image.png
Views:	0
Size:	18.1 KB
ID:	125555

You can also set this multi-enum field to the "link" type to be able to click on it so you will be redirected to this record's detailed view layout.

Name:	image.png
Views:	0
Size:	14.5 KB
ID:	125556

You can do this at Administration > Entity Manager > {your_Entity} > Layout.

      Hi,

There are two extensions from EblaSoft that can help with this:

Enum Plus: allows inline editing for Enum and Multi-Enum fields directly from the list view.

Color palette, Show Enum as button, Enum status bar for detail records, enum dropdown in list for fast update and more.

List Pro: enables full inline editing for any field you choose in the list view (like spreadsheet-style editing).

Inline fields editing from list views in espocrm makes editing your fields quicker, easier. With it, you can update fields directly in the list view, without needing to open separate pages for each item. This saves you clicks and time!
