    Multiple instances & Theme reset?

Hello - Back in EspoCRM every day now and there is something I have been trying to reset for a while, sorry if I missed it but there used to be darker color menu options - it seems when I change to Espo all white I cannot change back?

This is how I visually differentiate between my clients and my instance so I was depending on it, I find them all the same now (hate dark, hate it ) and find myself going into the wrong instance because the all look the same.
    • One purple, one blue, one wine, one light makes it easy for those in Cloud supporting 2+ clients
    • The grey themes seem to make the grey text even worse

Best practice, don't take away what is already in use, especially a few years, just add to.

    Cloud version, no CSS ability.

Were these themes changed or is there a reset I am missing?

Changing colors is not what I consider as taking away. Colors will keep changing in future. We can't use the same themes forever.

The purpose of new color schemes is to make it easier to work for a user, to facilitate the focus on the content, to cause less distraction. The themes are not meant for distinguishing between instances, this is not their purpose. The new colors are much better and trendy than the old ones. Some people will dislike change, it happens always with any UI change, no matter how good the change was. Happened with any design change, even with changes that later became an industry standard.

Have to agree to disagree, it's no longer there to use. Trendy is not always desirable but I understand product development motivation is often external. It's just a little disorienting to long in one day and purple is now grey. Maybe leave a classic version since we have no control?

      Food for thought....

Changing application colors abruptly causes user frustration, confusion, and decreased trust, often leading to app abandonment Up to 90% of consumer buying judgments are influenced by color, meaning sudden shifts disrupt established brand identity and emotional, psychological comfort, potentially causing users to abandon the application

      Thanks for the reply.

Every change in UI in well established software products caused backlashes. Had not these changes happened, we would have still used 1980 UI design.

I am user hoping to help people understand impact and how your product is used - maybe incentive to figure out an extension if the client goes to Ultimate. Thanks for the reply.

It's possible to override CSS with a browser extension. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stylus...r_extension%29

One can override colors of the navbar. Tutorial is available on the forum. This will serve as a measure for distinguishing between instances while keeping the design of an instance intact.

    Could version no control right?

Just would be nice not to have drastic change, be sure to separate, this is my user experience, one day purple, next day white, not ding on EpsoCRM to stop offering new scheme just a request to be aware of impact of "freshness" and to leave a classic version

    Btw, the 80's rock

The method with a browser extension is applied at the browser level. Can be used to change styles for any website. It's very easy to apply, just copy paste the CSS example from the tutorial.
Working...
