Configure Sending with Outlook extension and no SMTP?

    Hello Everybody,

We have the Outlook extension and we have it set up to use the Graph API instead of SMTP as our company does not enable SMTP on the Outlook server. I set up the personal email account and the IMAP works to bring in emails fine. However it does not allow me to send out. When I hit compose the from shows this:

Does anyone know what steps I need to perform to get it so it will not try and use SMTP and just use the Graph API?

It seems like this might be a bit of a development that could be done to make the Outlook Extension work better? A way to just say no SMTP. On the email personal email setup I dont have SMTP enabled as again we cant use SMTP.

But it seems like if you do that the email system itself does not quite recognize that?

Any help is always appreciated. If anyone else was able to set up outlook extension with no SMTP?

    Thank You,

I encountered a similar situation today on a test instance: I had access to the SMTP of Group Email Account (and no Personal Email Account was created in the system), I successfully sent test emails from this Group Email Account. But when I tried to send an email via "Compose Email" - I got the same error as you.

A similar situation can be caused by a problem with the browser cache or the instance cache.
If you have access to SMTP in your Group Email Account, then this message should disappear automatically after clearing the browser cache and the instance cache. At least, that's what happened to me.

    Note:
    - To send emails via Graph API, the Email Account must be configured for SMTP only (without IMAP).
    - If you also need IMAP for the same email address, you need to configure another Email Account that will be configured for IMAP only (without SMTP).
