Filter Sent Emails to Group Folders

From EspoCRM documentation:

Email Filters allow filtering of incoming emails according to specified criteria

When using a Group Email Account, Group Folder and Filter setup it is expected that sent emails from the group mail account will move the email to the group folder. The setup used is:

Group Email Folder
Email Filter;
- parent = group email account
- from = email address of group email account
- to and subject = *
- body = none
- action = put in group folder (select the group folder)
Group Email Account;
- for all team users = true
- group email folder = group folder you created


Please can you advise if filters should apply to sent emails or do they only apply to emails fetched via IMAP?
