Evaluating EspoCRM for a File Sharing Solution

    Hello everyone,
I'm currently exploring whether EspoCRM could be a good fit for a solution we're planning to build.

    Here’s our scenario:
We have a small group of admins who will be responsible for entering data into the system and uploading files.
There will also be users who need access to view these files, but not the rest of the system's data.

We’re considering at least two user roles:
    • Admin: full access to all features and data
    • Read-only: limited to viewing shared files only

These read-only users will be grouped by organization, and we’d like to know if the portal can be customized for each organization—such as displaying the organization’s name, logo, or custom branding.

Is this kind of customization possible with EspoCRM? I know I can do it using Portals but just want to make sure that most of that work can be automatically done (like building triggers and generating the code to create a portal and a portal user)

Thanks in advance for your help!

Already possible using the UI but to certain limits where you can specifiy a portal logo - application name - a theme etc

You can also customise the whole portal login page and add more features by coding.

i think this is very suitable. also you can always customize anything you want to make it work for your business.

    I hope that helps
