Hello everyone, this is my first post here.
I'm a beginner in EspoCRM, but I would like to congratulate the authors for designing and creating such a beautiful application, both from a technical-IT and the end user points of view ... and I haven't seen everything yet. Congratulations.
Thanks also for the availability of documentation, which requires a considerable effort.
This post of mine has no pretensions: it only wants to highlight some of my doubts about the behavior in adding fields to an existing entity type with existing records.
some fields DO NOT populate existing records (database columns), while others do, with the default value.
For the "Number" field I have not found a way to populate existing records.
I have included a table to highlight the fields that DO NOT populate existing records; columns:
has default: if a default value can be set for the field type
populate: if the field (database columns) is populated in existing records with the default value
mass update: if it is possible to modify the field via "mass-update"
In the column notes I have highlighted the field types that may require attention
