How to search or filter leads with a custom field?

These are the field one can use to search the leads.
I have a couple of custom fields that I added. why they are not visible here? how can I filter the leads with the custom fields that I added?
Also, It's a really long list and I want to remove half of the options here. Is it possible? if yes, how?
is it possible on Version 9 or 8.4?

Hello. It's very simple. The fields for the filter are organized within the 'Searchfilter' layout. So, you need to go to the entity's layouts and modify the 'Searchfilter' layout.
