Paste excel table into the body of an email

Is it possible to paste a table from excel, into the body of an email?

When I try, it seems to lose all formatting

It is not clear what exactly you are not getting:
- If you want to copy the table in this form, then you will not be able to do it and it is better to use a screenshot:


However, we are talking about simply copying a table in this form:


Then it is perfectly copied into the email or Email Template being created:
