  • Where can I find the email settings for "Time Logs" ?

I am updating a working ESPOCRM system, that has "Time Logs" added to it. It emails out weekly time summaries and emails users if they have not logged sufficient hours. Has been working wonderfully for years.

However we have moved email to Office365, from on site Exchange, (in experience DONT DO IT, costs more and you probably don't realise the number of "devices" that send email, printers, alarm systems, router, network switches, RAID controllers, server controllers that have consumed hours and hours of testing and configuring).

The one item left we have is ESPO Time Logs. I have found the Administration-> Outbound Emails settings and updated, BUT nowhere have I found the emails settings for "Time Logs". It sends from TimeSheets@ESPOCRM (and altering working hours from 37.5 hours per week.).

Any help would be gratefully received

    Regards
    Ian

What are "Time Logs"? Is this a custom entity? If so, what type is it?
How exactly is your mailing organized?

On list on left hand side of a users ESPO, there is Time Logs, where green is the Users name and blue is the task/project/issue they have booked time to.

The if you go to Tasks (for instance) you get, a list of hours logged and by each user.

Once a day/week emails are sent summarising hours booked to each task/project/issue as well as if you haven't entered enough hours for the working week. It is the sending of this email we need to modify.

It seems that this is an unofficial extension for EspoCRM. Very similar to https://devcrm.it/product/time-tracker/, although I could be wrong.
Please contact its developer for clarification.

Not sure it is this. Ours has "Time Logs" on the main screen.

Our ESPO was installed & setup by an IT company, that unfortunately did not survive Covid so no further contact info. They did supply instructions and installation record how they installed ESPO and MySQL, how to configure & maintain ESPO but there is no mention of "Time Logs".

            Hi ian_m42,

The Time Logs entity is neither a default entity nor an entity from any official extension to EspoCRM. This means that it is either a custom entity that was created for you earlier or it is an entity that was created during the installation of a third-party extension.

Also, please note that any created entity can be dragged to the navbar, so you should not rely on this.

In general, it is very difficult to say how your Time Logs-related emails are sent (I would like to clarify once again that such an entity is not built into EspoCRM, and there is nothing related to this entity and emails either). It could be some kind of hook (modification of the EspoCRM code) or a workflow (a function of the official Advanced Pack extension).

In any case, the first thing you should pay attention to is email accounts (personal and group):
            https://docs.espocrm.com/administration/emails,
            https://docs.espocrm.com/user-guide/emails,
            https://docs.espocrm.com/user-guide/...-configuration.

If emails stopped being sent after changing your email provider, you just need to reconnect them (add passwords, change ports, etc.).

Look like our ESPO has "Project Management" Extension (Version 1.0.0) installed, wonder if "Time Logs" is part of that ? If so how do we configure it ?

ESPO was installed 2019 odd with Project Management, MailChimp and VoIP extensions added. CRM data was imported from the discontinued Microsoft Business Contact Manager. Unfortunately COVID prevented any further work, MailChimp and VoIP was never completely configured.
