Is there an option to mark a Account as inactive, as in the case of a Contact?
Please specify where exactly you need such an option? If I understood you correctly, it's enough for you to set the Accounts field instead of the Account field on the Detail view (screenshots 1 and 2). At the same time this fields cannot be on the Detail view.
