Oh that make sense! Is that same description is being shown for all EspoCRM installation?

I suppose it would be 'embarrassing' in a sense when you post your "Portal" link and you get that as a description instead of (I joke) "Cool Business Portal Here; log in to access your invoice".

espcrm, when you enter URL to your espo for example in comment of Facebook, you'll see this: https://i.imgur.com/4QJmxz2.png
I marked as 1 string which is called in settings of EspoCRM as `applicationName` and you can define as you want. But description(marked as 2 on screenshot) can't be changed. I mean you can change it in html files of EspoCRM but it's not safe from updates.

That's why i'm asking @yuri for creating field which allow users for define their own meta descriptions

I never seen any post above 10 likes, not even 5. And to be honest I have no idea what is emillod referring to, yet here I am.

I would use it for notes for when I pass on the to another Admin, Yes this would be very helpful!
E.g. I renamed it because, there is a formula in this entity, etc....

  • Adding description field - similar to applicationName

    Hello yuri
could you add similar field as applicationName in settings, just for description?
Now when user override description of his instance in /html/main.html, it is not safe from updates.

    It would be great change!

Working...
