I’m used to using Vim key bindings in my IDE, where the Escape key exits insert mode. But in this form editor, pressing Escape cancels my entire edit! As you can imagine, this makes it incredibly frustrating to work on large files—just when I’m ready to save, a built-in key binding wipes out all my hard work.
I’ve lost hours of work because of it. Many developers are used to Vim key bindings—I’ve been using them for 20 years and won’t be able to change this lifelong habit.
All I’m asking is that when in form edit mode, pressing Escape does nothing or at very least, when an edit is detected, to pop up a warning
