    Dashlets conditions for visibility

    Hello Everyone,
Is there a possibility to create conditions for the visibility of dashlets? Users may require a dashlet to be visible only if it contains records.
When users utilize dashlets to display records with specific filters, such as printing open tasks, there is no necessity to display a dashlet if it has no records to show.

I appreciate your insights on the concept!

I see also no necessity to display empty dashlets. What about, making them collapsible?

I prefer dashlets to be displayed even if no data available.

      1. I'm sure the dashlet is there and I have to tasks rather than I'm not sure whether the dashlet is there and I might have tasks.
      2. The dashlet is there and I can configure it. Otherwise, how can I configure the dashlet if it's implicitly hidden.

This is merely a feature suggestion for your consideration. In my view, non-technical users often struggle with inadvertently moving dashlets due to unfamiliarity with the interface. This has led to numerous instances of dashlets being disrupted because a user accidentally moved something and then became too apprehensive to adjust it further.

An 'edit' button could be introduced to enable an edit mode, allowing for the movement, creation or reconfiguration of dashlets exclusively within this mode, which I believe would enhance functionality. Empty dashlets could be made visible in edit mode. Additionally, ACL could determine whether users have the permission to modify the main view. This may be important for companies that require static dashboards without any modifications on user side.

This is my perspective based on user experience; the decision to implement this feature is yours.

        Thanks for consideration!

There’s a lock mode for the dashboard, wouldn’t that solve your issue?

Yes, it's feasible starting with version 7.x, I'm aware. I'm committed to educating users and administrators to the best of my ability.

How a user will be sure that they has no tasks assigned to them but not somebody removed their dashlet?
