    Outlook Calendar Sync Issue

    Dear All,

We've just starting off with EspoCRM, but while setting up the system sadly we're facing some difficulties with the Outlook Extension. Emails do work, events created in Espo calendar sync back correctly to Outlook, but the events created in Outlook do not sync back into Espo.

(Events created in Outlook are created by the Espo user and are non-recurring ones)

    Versions:

    EspoCRM 9.3.1
    Outlook Integration 1.6.13

    Settings:

Azure AD – Calendars.ReadWrite Admin consent
    Integrations / Outlook – Enabled
User / External Accounts / Outlook – Enabled & Connected; Outlook Calendar Enabled
    Direction: Two-Way
    Main Calendar selected
IMAP/SMTP is set for the user
    Outlook sync job executed successfully.

We've tried reconnecting the integration, but the same thing happens.

And the twist: one of the users with the same configuration does receive a notification in Espo about a calendar entry created by system, which if opened can be accepted and then an event is created in Espo Calendar for him (Shouldn't they be created automatically?).

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi adam,

The most likely reason, when everything works for you, except for the synchronization of Outlook -> Espo events, is that the date of the event created on the Outlook side is too far away. Outlook sometimes makes changes to the given dates, and events, for example, six months ahead or back may not be synchronized, but no more than 3 months from today's date - are synchronized successfully. I just tested this on a test instance.

one of the users with the same configuration does receive a notification in Espo about a calendar entry created by system, which if opened can be accepted and then an event is created in Espo Calendar for him (Shouldn't they be created automatically?).
The described behavior applies to invitations for Attendees specified on the Outlook side. This is logical and should be the case. If synchronization for your users is required to be as automatic as for you, then a separate (his own) Administration > Users > User_name > External Account > Outlook must be connected for such a user. Please note that additionally the Role of this user must allow the use of External Accounts:

In addition, I advise you to contact EspoCRM technical support, where it is easier for you to send screenshots or some other sensitive information that is undesirable to display on the forum for privacy reasons.

      Hi victor ,

      Thanks for the quick reply!

I think the timeliness of the event creation should not be a factor, due to testing purposes we are creating the events for current week.
Also External Accounts scope is enabled, trying to make it work with an admin user type.

We are scratching our heads, so will need to contact Espo tech support.
