harrytruman the information you showed is outdated.
Starting from January 1, 2024, the license needs to be renewed annually. More information is published on the official blog, https://www.espocrm.com/blog/espocrm...sions-license/.

Hi tarasm, I received this email in August of last year (2024). This is after the date you mentioned above. Legally, I'm not sure the company can retroactively change the terms and conditions (at least in the US). Also, the email clearly states that I can continue to use the extension. I love EspoCRM and I certainly want to support the business. This is why I purchased the extension. However, this whole situation is confusing, and we all need more clarity from the company.

harrytruman your license was purchased in August 2023, so it is governed by the terms and conditions in effect at that time. So, there is no requirement to renew this license on an annual basis.
Please note that all licenses purchased starting January 1, 2024, will require annual renewal.

I was trying to UPGRADE and buy new licences, but this new requirement is quite a disappointment, (i can't afford it) Not only extensions are expensive but you will NOW have to buy them again to keep using it every year? I don't like this approach. I started using espocrm beacuse of the pricing MODEL. Imagine a person who has all extensions. The renewal is going to be more than 1K every year, even with the discount price still high, IMHO if they want to keep a yearly subscription, price on extensions needs to come down, otherwise ill be better to SWITCH to ANOTHER CRM with a monthly subscription fee, it will be less expensive, and you will not need to maintain it. Hope the developers can fix this MESS.

Hello Taras yuri I am planning to purchase the Project Management and Stripe Integration extensions.
I am already using four EspoCRM extensions, which I have purchased and renewed over the last 3–4 years.

I saw Taras’s post dated 05-07-2025, which says:
“Your license was purchased in August 2023, so it is governed by the terms and conditions in effect at that time. Therefore, there is no requirement to renew this license on an annual basis.
Please note that all licenses purchased starting January 1, 2024, will require annual renewal.”

Based on this, I would like to clarify the following:
          1. For my existing licenses (purchased before January 1, 2024):
            • Will I be able to continue using them indefinitely after the support/upgrade period expires?
            • Or will I still be required to renew them every year, even if I do not need updates?
          2. For new licenses that I purchase now (Project Management, Stripe Integration, etc.):
            • Will these require mandatory annual renewal?
            • If I choose not to renew, will the extensions stop working, or will they continue working but without updates and support?

I want to clearly understand how the licensing will apply to both my old extensions and the new ones before making further purchases.

          Thank you for your clarification.
