Convert Leads to opportunity- Name entity not transferring

I could use some help with this. I noticed when converting leads to opportunities, all the fields carry over but for some reason the name field does not. Anyone know how I can fix this?

what do you mean by name ? do you mean name of the lead is not carried over to opportunity name?

Yes that's correct. The name of the lead isn't carrying over. All the other fields are okay though.
