Routing with hash sign

Is it possible to route URLs without the #? I'm finding that many embedded browsers on mobile platforms convert the # to %23, which breaks the URL. There is no way to fix this as far as I can tell, so I'm trying to have Espo respond to URLs that don't have a #. It seems like it is unnecessary anyway.
