I like how you assume I have way more time just because it's a side project. I would argue the contrary, really, with my main job, studies, and family claiming their fair share too. I've found that just wanting to use something without putting int the effort seldom works. But I'm not entering a pissing contest with you. Good luck with your future endeavors and happy Espoing!
thanks for that Strange, the search didn't pick up that page

We just have very different expectations on what "putting in the effort" looks like, i am glad you have the inclination and fortitude to dig through source code, and as a side project, you don't have anyone pressuring you to deliver. i do the same with Arduino stuff, which for me is fun

i am ever so curious as to what kind of side project you use espo for? i just can't imagine it

My side project had over a dozen user accounts, emergency support volunteers and authorities, in three different cities for a week-long preparedness exercise. So I wouldn't really say I didn't have anyone pressuring me... A regional steering group specified the needed features, I implemented them, hosted the Espo instance, trained the end users. Sure, not hundreds of users nor tens of thousands of dollars in turnover through Espo, but still something.

tgr so this is like a week-long disaster preparation coordination exercise? That sounds really cool! I'm just curious—what made you want to use Espo for that?

It seems like a fascinating and worthwhile project. And yeah, you do have a semi-deadline, but it’s nothing like a production environment where hundreds of thousands of pounds and the company’s reputation are on the line.

Anyway, thanks for sharing, and I hope the event was a huge success!
