editing formulas with vscode

good morning,

any one know of a formater where i can edit files in custom/Espo/Custom/Resources/metadata/formula with my IDE?

yes the current editor is cool, though it doesn't do formatting or syntax highlighting or vim key binding or AI assistance i can view the file but its in such a strange format that its near impossible to edit

Hi, When it was designed, it was not considered that the files where scripts are stored will be edited directly. It's now too costly to change as it would be either a compatibility break or a complex migration process.

yeah i can defiantly see why that would have been done as most casual users will only do simple stuff though as your product is now being used so widely by professional developers it would be a great boon to us if we could make better use of this amazing eco-shpear you have created in a powerful way

as it is now i think my best bet is to develop a separate api system to handle it all

please in the future consider that actual developers are using your product and just make their lives easier <3
