Display and Select Only Specific Records

A has many Bs,
In the detail view of Entity A, I only want the list Of Bs show B records with the status field set to 'Active'.

Could you guide me

If you have already a predefined filter (active) then you can set the filter as selectPrimaryFilterName.

Would this work also for the listSmall in the select modal for a relationship?

Yes mainly this allow you to specify a predefined selectPrimaryFilter and or selectBoolFilterList on a specific relationship and when you try to select related record the filters will b applied. and there other options that allow you to customise everything including the view, recordListView, rowActionsView etc
