    Project Management 1.0 released

    The extension page: https://www.espocrm.com/extensions/project-management/

    Documentation: https://docs.espocrm.com/extensions/...ment/projects/

    Project Management includes:
    • Projects
    • Tasks
    • Milestones
    • Boards
    • Gantt chart
Tasks in the Project Management are represented with the Project Task entity type. They significantly differs from regular Tasks. The Project defines how its Project Tasks will work.

Different Projects can have different statuses (board columns) for their Tasks.

Access control and assignment permissions are managed not by standard Roles but by project-level Roles. The same User can have different access to Project Tasks depending on their role they have in a particular Project. E.g. one user can create Tasks in one Project and can only view Tasks in another Project.

A Project Task can be a Milestone.

Project Groups can be utilized for both Waterfall and Agile projects. For example, in the waterfall, a group can represent a phase. In Agile, a group can represent a sprint or a backlog.
If you find EspoCRM good, we would greatly appreciate if you could give the project a star on GitHub. We believe our work truly deserves more recognition. Thanks.

Looks very good. The gantt and task overviews are useful.

A useful add on would be time registration on tasks.

Yes, Timetracking and Budgeting would be a real good option.

Also to be able to create subprojects.

When i have an implementation with a customer, i would need a subproject for Installation, because this might not be a single task, same for things running in parallel.

And so we could keep track of the overall budget, whereas i have a specific budget for project work, project management, installation / configuration etc.

Or a client has a budget of 25k a year and we have a couple of different projects to do, but always need to see the subproject budget, but also the overall budget, but not only how much it is, but also, and even more important, how much is left.

I would also like to have clients to work on tasks as well, so to be able to publish part of the project to a portal as well.

I'd also like to assign a Task to more than one person, otherwise i would need to create two or more tasks, and that would clutter the project, i think.

Good shot, btw, was looking for something like this, but timetracking and budgettracking is essential for me, to switch from my exisitng projectmanagement solution.
