Error 500: Network is unreachable (Outbound email configuration)

    Hi,

I'm trying to setup outbound email.

After filling out all fields and clicking "Send Test Email" error "Network is unreachable" shows up.

The outbound SMTP server I'm using is smtp.gmail.com with authentication (Port 465 SSL)

Not sure what to type in "Configuration" section both "From Address" and "From Name" fields (...)

A howto guide, would be much appreciated!!

    Thanks.

    Best regards,
    Roberto

    Hi

Could it be that gmail blocks your requests? Maybe you need to allow it on gmail side?
Check if SSL is enabled in your php.

Specify "From Address" with emai address.
If you find EspoCRM good, we would greatly appreciate if you could give the project a star on GitHub. We believe our work truly deserves more recognition. Thanks.

      Hi Yuri,

Where do I check if SSL is enabled in our PHP?

      Can you provide detailed instructions?

      Thanks.

        Hi,

Is there any log file in espoCRM to check for email issues?

        Thanks.

            Hi,

            You mean loading "www.mysite.url/data/config.php" ?

When trying to load this url a forbidden message shows up... Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /data/config.php on this server.

              Solved!

The problem was the hosting provider's firewall that was blocking connections to ports 465 and 993...
