Upgrade - Error 500: Permission denied

I am new to Espocrm and trying to install the upgrade from 5.0.2 to 5.0.3, but keep getting an Error 500: Permission denied message. I am doing this from Administration > Upgrade. I can successfully upload the upgrade zip file, but when I click on "Run Upgrade" it kicks back the Error 500 message.

I am running Espocrm from a Bitnami install on a 1and1.com cloud server if that makes any difference. Any thoughts or help would be appreciated.
