migration woes

Hi guys,
I have been on espo 4.1.2 for a while now.
I am in the process of migrating to a new server. First problem is that the version I was using does no longer seem to be working on php7 (new server).
I installed the latest version 4.8.2 on the new server and imported the database in it.
My data seems to be there, but in standard configuration. The many configuration settings and added entities I made are not available or at least not visible.
How can I easily import these settings in my new setup? I would assume this would also just be stored in the database? Why are they not there?

edit: I also uploaded the custom folder to the new server, but the old changes are not available, not even after a cache clean
