There is no upgrade scripts for beta versions. You can just override files but leave old DB.

I followed your suggestion ... had to go trough the install again ! followed the install steps and at step 3 get the error message:

" Enable Rewrite Module in your server (e.g. mod_rewrite in Apache) "
Although mod-rewrite is enabled !?

Try to install on:

Apache ZendServer
OSX

What do you see? What is the response status? 404, 401 or 200?

I believe it's than error number 310
