Crontab setup for the scheduling job

Hi, I was doing the installation of the application until I arrived on this part.

What I did was to edit the cron.php file and added the code(of course with the updated content on the link) and then overwritten the cron file on the server.
Did I do it right? Do I have to remove the 5 * before the /usr or just leave it there?
    thanks for the response

    Hi abnbcorp,

Please tell me which file exactly did you change? Keep in mind that the cron.php file in the EspoCRM directory does not need to be changed.

You can specify the name of the hosting where your instance is located, and we will try to help you with the correct crontab configuration.

      Hi lazovic

I updated the cron.php file located inside the EspoCRM-9.1.7 folder. So during installation, I changed the name of the EspoCRM-9.1.7 folder to my preference and I found the cron.ph file inside this folder. I opened it and inserted the link that has been provided to me automatically during installation which is below (some names are changed).. I ordered my hosting from ionos and i created a subdomain where i installed the EspoCRM. Please help as I logged in to the CRM today and when I opened administration page to continue setting up the system, this message was displaying on top right.

          abnbcorp,

You do NOT need to change the cron.php file in the EspoCRM directory in any way. Bring back the file that was there.

You need to insert the line into the crontab. On hostings you can find the Cron or Scheduled Jobs sections; that's where you need to insert the line.

Hi lazovic, thanks. I have removed the link that I inserted on the cron.php file. Yeah, I was able to see the cron jobs tab on my hosting but when i tried to create a new cron job, the link that I was supposed to insert cannot be used on the UI, it seems that it can only be run on the command prompt. anyway, I have contacted the support of the hosting and they will take care of it. thanks for the support
