How much time we have before extensions are no longer compatible ?

Hi, I'd like to know how much time we have as users before an extension is no longer compatible with espocrm.
I am asking because my advanced pack updates recently expired approx 3-4 months ago, version 3.0.16 but it's no longer compatible with espocrm 8.2.
IMHO I think we should have more time before extensions are no longer compatible with espocrm.

They are not compatible for a technical reason, not for a whim. I wish they were, but it would require much more effort and longer development timelines.

I just hope the extension's lifespan is long (compatibility-wise) before we are forced to upgrade.
