API Befor-Save Script

Hi, could anybody shed a bit light on this new function from 7.5? It says in the documentation, it would be a formula to use before save. What does that mean really? Can we use the formula system in this meaning, to have records calculated when creating and updating? Can we use the same formulas?

Hi, In entity manager there's an explanation text.

It's possible to set fields in API before-save script too. But the script won't be executed when the record is saved by a workflow, mass-update, other formula, by some backend script. So in most cases, it's reasonable to use the regular before-save script.
